2. How do I get started?

Visit our website and schedule a free consultation using our online booking calendar.

During the consultation, we’ll discuss the student’s academic needs and next steps. After the consultation, the student will complete an assessment so we can accurately determine their current skill level.

Based on the assessment results and the student’s goals, we’ll recommend the most appropriate tutoring option, Package 1 or Package 2. Once a package is selected, tutoring sessions and ongoing support will begin right away. Click here to book a free consultation.

No. All workbooks, worksheets, and digital downloads are copyright protected and may not be shared, resold, posted, or distributed.

12. What tutoring packages do you offer?

We currently offer two tutoring options:

Intensive Support ($699) – Multiple weekly sessions designed for students who need more frequent instruction or academic intervention.

Core Weekly Support ($349) – One private tutoring session per week with unlimited questions/homework all week.

13. Do you offer single-session or pay-as-you-go tutoring?

No.
All tutoring is offered through monthly packages only. We do not book hourly. This ensures consistent support and stronger academic progress.

14. Is tutoring online or in person?

All tutoring is provided online via Zoom, allowing flexible scheduling and nationwide access.

15. How do I get homework help?

Registered students can submit homework by taking a photo or screenshot and sending it to us by email or text message.

For students with Unlimited Support (available in select packages), homework questions may be submitted anytime between sessions, and instructional support is provided outside of live sessions according to the program guidelines.

For students without Unlimited Support, homework should be submitted in advance of the next scheduled session so we can review it and determine whether it will be addressed during the session or through follow-up instructional support.

All homework submissions help us stay aligned with classroom expectations and guide the student’s ongoing learning plan.

16. Will you contact my child’s school?

Yes. With parent permission, Bright Math Tutoring may contact your child’s school to introduce ourselves, communicate with teachers or administrators, and let them know we are supporting the student academically.

This collaboration helps us stay informed about classroom expectations and ensures our tutoring aligns with the student’s schoolwork and academic goals.

17. Which package is right for my child?

  • Core Weekly Support is ideal for students who need consistent help with homework, concepts, or reinforcement.
  • Intensive Support is best for students who are significantly behind, preparing for exams, or needing accelerated progress.

We’re happy to help guide you during a consultation if you’re unsure.

18. What does unlimited support include? Are there limits on the types of questions?

Unlimited support, available in select tutoring packages, allows students to submit questions and request homework help throughout the week, even when a tutoring session is not scheduled.

This support applies to questions related to the student’s current grade level, coursework, homework, and the instruction they are receiving through Bright Math Tutoring. Questions must align with the student’s academic plan and instructional level.

Students without unlimited support still receive homework help during their scheduled tutoring sessions.

19. Can you complete graded assignments or tests for my child?

No.
We can explain, guide, support, and teach, but we cannot complete graded academic work on a student’s behalf.

All sessions are scheduled directly by Bright Math Tutoring during the consultation process. At that time, we work with the student and parent or guardian to choose a consistent day and time that fits everyone’s schedule.

Once scheduled, sessions take place on the same day and time each week and do not rotate. This allows us to plan sessions in advance and maintain consistency month to month.

If you ever need to change your scheduled day or time, simply contact us by phone to request a schedule adjustment.

Yes. All regularly scheduled tutoring sessions are conducted one-on-one.

If a session is missed, canceled, or needs to be rescheduled, there is no guarantee that a make-up session can be accommodated due to limited availability. When a make-up option is available, it may be offered in a small group format if multiple students require alternate scheduling.

22. What are the differences between your packages?

The primary differences between our tutoring packages are the frequency of sessions and the level of support provided between sessions.

  • Core Weekly Support ($349) includes one one-on-one tutoring session per week along with ongoing question support between sessions.
  • Intensive Support ($699) includes multiple tutoring sessions per week and is designed for students who need more frequent instruction or accelerated academic support.

Both packages provide personalized, one-on-one instruction during scheduled sessions.

23. What does the monthly cost of each package include?

Each package includes far more than live tutoring sessions. Monthly tuition covers comprehensive academic support that happens before, during, and after sessions, including:

  • Live tutoring sessions (based on the selected package)
  • Individualized academic planning and lesson preparation
  • Review of school assignments, curriculum, and classroom expectations
  • Weekly assignments issued by Bright Math Tutoring
  • Assignment review and instructional feedback
  • Homework help and instructional planning
  • Video-based instruction when appropriate
  • Ongoing communication with parents, students, and schools when appropriate
  • Weekly progress reports sent via email
  • Academic tracking and skill-gap monitoring
  • Coordination with schools when needed
  • Use of instructional technology and digital tools
  • Administrative support, scheduling, and session management

Much of the work we do for students happens outside of live sessions, often daily. This behind-the-scenes instructional planning, communication, feedback, and reporting is a key part of the service and is why our tutoring is structured as monthly programs rather than hourly sessions.

24. Can I cancel tutoring at any time? How do I cancel? Is there a cancellation fee?

Yes. Tutoring services may be canceled at any time.

Tutoring is billed monthly and each month is treated as four instructional weeks. If a cancellation occurs mid-month, tuition is prorated, not refunded in full. The current instructional week in progress is non-refundable.

Refunds are calculated by dividing the monthly tuition into four equal weekly portions. Any unused weeks beginning with the following week will be refunded.

All tutoring weeks begin on Sunday. To avoid being charged for an upcoming week, cancellation requests must be submitted by Saturday at 11:59 PM. Cancellations take effect starting the next instructional week.

There is no early cancellation penalty. However, a $37.50 administrative fee applies to mid-month cancellations. This fee covers instructional planning, lesson preparation, homework review, progress tracking, communication, scheduling, and other academic support completed outside of live tutoring sessions.

Cancellation requests must be submitted using our official Cancellation Request Form which can be found Here. For record-keeping and billing accuracy, we do not accept cancellations by phone, text, or email. Once submitted, Bright Math Tutoring will confirm your cancellation date and any applicable proration.

Approved refunds are processed within 7–14 business days to the original payment method or by check, at the discretion of Bright Math Tutoring.

Administrative Fee

All tutoring cancellations are subject to a $37.50 administrative fee.

This fee covers:

  • Lesson planning already completed
  • Assignments created and distributed
  • Progress reports generated
  • Ongoing communication and coordination
  • Academic tracking and support provided between sessions

This work occurs regardless of live session attendance.

25. Do you offer one-day or hourly homework help without a monthly plan?

No. Bright Math Tutoring does not offer one-day, one-hour, or pay-as-you-go homework help. All services are provided through monthly tutoring packages only.

This structure allows us to properly assess the student, build a learning plan, track progress, and provide consistent academic support. We are not a homework help hotline or drop-in service.

26. What are your hours of operation?

Our administrative hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

These are the primary times we respond to calls, messages, scheduling requests, and administrative matters. While we may occasionally respond outside of these hours, other days are typically dedicated to tutoring sessions. Responses outside administrative hours are not guaranteed but may occur when availability permits.

27. How do I receive my weekly assignments from Bright Math Tutoring?

Weekly assignments are distributed every Monday via email and/or text message, depending on what was agreed upon during the onboarding process. Assignments are due back by Thursday and are reviewed as part of the student’s ongoing progress monitoring.

28. Do you have testimonials?

Client feedback and reviews are displayed directly on our tutoring package pages when available. As a newly launched website, some packages may not yet show online reviews.

Bright Math Tutoring has been providing academic support since 2006, with much of our work historically conducted offline through referrals, schools, and direct family relationships. As we transition to an online platform, we’re actively collecting and publishing feedback from students and families we’ve worked with over the years.

29. What happens if a student arrives late or has connection issues during a session?

We understand that technology issues can occasionally happen. However, students are expected to be on time and fully connected at the scheduled session start time.

If a session is canceled, needs to be rescheduled, or a student is late there is no guarantee that a make-up session can be accommodated due to limited availability. When a make-up option is available, it may be offered in a small group format if multiple students require alternate scheduling.

No-show sessions are not eligible for make-ups or rescheduling.

This policy allows us to manage limited scheduling availability while continuing to provide consistent, high-quality instruction for all students.

To avoid missed sessions, we strongly encourage families to test their technology in advance and notify us as soon as possible if any issues arise.

30. Makeup & Rescheduling

Do you offer makeup sessions if a session is missed?

Yes — weekly ($349) students may reschedule a missed session into a designated Saturday makeup time, provided advance notice is given and the student is not a no-show.

Which packages are eligible for makeup sessions?

  • $349 weekly package: ✔ Eligible
  • $699 premium package: ✘ Not eligible (students meet multiple times per week)

When are makeup sessions held?

Makeup sessions are held on Saturdays only during the following times:

  • 9:00–10:00 AM
  • 10:00–11:00 AM

These are the only makeup times offered.

How many makeup sessions are allowed?

There is one makeup session per week maximum.
If a student misses more than one session in the same week, only one may be made up.

Does the makeup session have to be in the same week?

Yes. Makeup sessions must be completed within the same week the session was missed.

Saturday is the final makeup day for the week. Once Sunday begins, the missed session cannot be made up.

What if my child’s regular session is scheduled on Saturday and they miss it?

If a student’s regular session is scheduled after the Saturday makeup hours and they are unable to attend, the session is forfeited for that week because the makeup window has already passed. The student will be seen at their next regularly scheduled session.

Are no-shows eligible for makeup sessions?

No. No-shows are not eligible for rescheduling, and no exceptions are made.

Are makeup sessions one-on-one or group sessions?

Makeup sessions may be one-on-one or small group, depending on how many weekly students need a makeup that week. All makeup sessions remain instructional and structured.

31. Is there a minimum commitment?

Tutoring is billed monthly. Families are encouraged to commit to consistency to see the best results, but there is no long-term contract.

32. How quickly will I hear back after submitting the form?

We aim to respond within 24 hours, typically by email or phone.

33. Is this tutoring a good fit if my child is struggling or behind?

Yes. Our approach focuses on meeting students where they are, building confidence, and strengthening understanding step by step.
