BRIGHT MATH TUTORING – TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to Bright Math Tutoring. By accessing brightmathtutoring.com, purchasing a tutoring package, or participating in tutoring services, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our website or services.

These Terms apply to all users, including parents, guardians, students, and visitors.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website, purchasing a tutoring package, or communicating with Bright Math Tutoring through any platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Parents or legal guardians must accept these Terms on behalf of any minor student.

2. Services Provided

Bright Math Tutoring offers academic support through two monthly tutoring packages only:

Package 1: Four Sessions Per Week – $699/month
Includes four scheduled live tutoring sessions per week during the active month.

Package 2: One Session Per Week + Unlimited Academic Support – $349/month
Includes one scheduled live tutoring session per week, along with unlimited homework help and unlimited academic questions within the student’s instructional level.

Bright Math Tutoring does not offer hourly tutoring, single sessions, or pay-as-you-go services. All services are provided through monthly enrollment.

3. Monthly Subscription & Billing

All tutoring services operate on a monthly subscription basis.

  • Payment is required in advance to activate services for the month
  • Packages automatically renew unless canceled prior to the renewal date
  • Failed payments may result in paused access until resolved

4. No Rollovers

Unused live sessions, tutoring time, or academic support do not roll over to future months.

All services and features reset at the start of each billing cycle.

5. Scheduling & Attendance Policies

  • Live sessions must be scheduled in advance
  • Students are expected to arrive on time and prepared
  • Arrivals more than 10 minutes late may result in a shortened or forfeited session

6. Missed Sessions, Cancellations & Makeup Policy

Eligibility for Makeup Sessions

Makeup sessions are offered only to students enrolled in the $349 weekly tutoring package. Students enrolled in the $699 premium package are not eligible for makeup or rescheduled sessions, as premium students receive multiple sessions per week.

Designated Makeup Times

Makeup sessions are held on Saturdays only during the following designated time slots:

  • 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
  • 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

These are the only makeup times available. Makeup sessions are not scheduled outside of these hours.

Weekly Makeup Limit

Students enrolled in the $349 weekly package are eligible for one (1) makeup session per week maximum, regardless of the number of sessions missed during that week.

Same-Week Requirement

All makeup sessions must be completed within the same week the original session was missed.

Saturday serves as the final makeup day for the week. Once Sunday begins, any missed session from the prior week is forfeited and may not be carried forward into the following week.

Saturday Session Limitation

If a student’s regularly scheduled session occurs after the designated Saturday makeup hours and the student is unable to attend that session, the session is forfeited for that week. In such cases, the student will be seen at their next regularly scheduled session.

Notice Requirement

Advance notice must be provided in order to be eligible for a makeup session. Makeup sessions are subject to availability within the designated Saturday time slots.

No-Show Policy

Students who fail to attend a scheduled session without notice are considered no-shows. No-shows are not eligible for makeup sessions, and no exceptions will be made.

Makeup Session Format

Makeup sessions may be conducted as one-on-one or small group sessions, depending on availability and the number of students requiring a makeup session that week. All makeup sessions remain instructional and aligned with the student’s academic plan.

Policy Enforcement

All makeup and rescheduling policies are strictly enforced to ensure fairness, consistency, and effective scheduling. Sessions that do not meet the criteria outlined above are forfeited.

7. Unlimited Questions & Homework Help Policy

“Unlimited questions” and “unlimited homework help” refer to reasonable academic support related to the student’s enrolled program and instructional level.

This includes:

  • Homework questions
  • Concept explanations
  • Problem clarification
  • Step-by-step guidance

This does not include:

  • Completing graded assignments
  • Completing tests or exams
  • Unrestricted daily one-on-one tutoring
  • Immediate or emergency responses

Students must provide clear photos or descriptions when requesting assistance.

8. Parent & Student Responsibilities

To support student success, Bright Math Tutoring expects:

  • Consistent attendance
  • A quiet, distraction-free workspace
  • Active participation during sessions
  • Timely communication from parents regarding concerns
  • Completion of practice work when assigned

9. Refund Policy

Because tutoring services reserve time and provide digital academic support:

Refunds are not issued for:

  • Missed sessions
  • Late cancellations
  • Failure to schedule
  • Lack of participation
  • Unused portions of the monthly package

If Bright Math Tutoring must cancel a session, a makeup opportunity may be offered. Any makeup session offered may be scheduled in a group setting and is subject to availability.

10. Termination of Services

Bright Math Tutoring reserves the right to suspend or terminate services for:

  • Repeated missed sessions
  • Disruptive or inappropriate behavior
  • Non-payment
  • Harassment or abusive communication
  • Violations of these Terms

Unused time will not be refunded.

11. Digital Materials Policy

All worksheets, videos, explanations, and academic materials provided are for personal educational use only.

Materials may not be:

  • Shared
  • Copied
  • Reposted
  • Resold
  • Distributed publicly

12. Privacy & Student Safety

Bright Math Tutoring protects student confidentiality and does not share personal or academic information outside the tutoring relationship.

Recording tutoring sessions is not permitted without written permission.

13. Communication Policy

Parents and students may contact Bright Math Tutoring through approved communication channels.

Responses are typically provided within 24 hours, often sooner during business hours.

14. Group Session Policy

Group placement may also be used for any makeup sessions offered for missed tutoring time.

15. Required Parent/Guardian Consent for Minors

For students under 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete the Bright Math Tutoring Student Information & Consent Form before services begin.

Services may be paused if required information is incomplete or missing.

16. Agreement

By purchasing a tutoring package or participating in Bright Math Tutoring services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.
