Refund and Return Policy

Bright Math Tutoring

Bright Math Tutoring provides academic support services, educational materials, and digital resources. This policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and returns are handled for each type of purchase.


1. Physical Products (Printed Math Workbooks & Materials)

Physical products are eligible for return only if all of the following conditions are met:

  • The item is unused and in new condition
  • The item is returned in its original packaging
  • The item is the exact product shipped
  • The return must made within 7 calendar days of delivery

We do not accept returns for:

  • Used, written-in, bent, or damaged items
  • Photocopied or scanned materials
  • Items request after 3 days
  • Substituted or incorrect items not originally shipped

Restocking Fee

Approved returns for physical products are subject to a 20% restocking fee, deducted from the refund.


2. Shipping Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Return shipping costs
  • Secure packaging
  • Tracking the shipment

Bright Math Tutoring is not responsible for lost or damaged return shipments.


3. No Refunds on Digital Products

All digital products are final sale and non-refundable, including but not limited to:

  • PDFs
  • Digital workbooks
  • Worksheets
  • Video lessons
  • Online courses
  • Templates and guides

Digital products are delivered immediately upon purchase, granting full access.


4. Intellectual Property

All digital materials remain the intellectual property of Bright Math Tutoring. Customers may not:

  • Share
  • Resell
  • Redistribute
  • Upload publicly
  • Copy for others

Unauthorized distribution may result in legal action.


5. Monthly Billing Structure

Bright Math Tutoring operates on a monthly subscription-based tutoring model, not hourly or pay-as-you-go sessions.

  • Each month is considered four instructional weeks
  • Services begin at the start of each week (Sunday)
  • Fees cover both live instruction and behind-the-scenes academic support

6. What the Monthly Fee Includes

Monthly tuition includes, but is not limited to:

  • Scheduled tutoring sessions
  • Lesson planning and preparation
  • Academic assignments created and distributed weekly
  • Review and evaluation of submitted work
  • Video explanations and instructional follow-ups
  • Ongoing communication with parents and students
  • Weekly progress reports
  • Academic coordination and tracking between sessions

The majority of instructional work occurs outside of live sessions.


7. Canceling Tutoring Services

Tutoring services may be canceled at any time.

Tutoring is billed monthly and each month is treated as four instructional weeks. If a cancellation occurs mid-month, tuition is prorated, not refunded in full. The current instructional week in progress is non-refundable.

Refunds are calculated by dividing the monthly tuition into four equal weekly portions. Any unused weeks beginning with the following week will be refunded.

All tutoring weeks begin on Sunday. To avoid being charged for an upcoming week, cancellation requests must be submitted by Saturday at 11:59 PM. Cancellations take effect starting the next instructional week.

There is no early cancellation penalty. However, a $37.50 administrative fee applies to mid-month cancellations. This fee covers instructional planning, lesson preparation, homework review, progress tracking, communication, scheduling, and other academic support completed outside of live tutoring sessions.

Cancellation requests must be submitted using our official Cancellation Request Form which can be found Here. For record-keeping and billing accuracy, we do not accept cancellations by phone, text, or email. Once submitted, Bright Math Tutoring will confirm your cancellation date and any applicable proration.

Approved refunds are processed within 7–14 business days to the original payment method or by check, at the discretion of Bright Math Tutoring.

Administrative Fee

All tutoring cancellations are subject to a $37.50 administrative fee.

This fee covers:

  • Lesson planning already completed
  • Assignments created and distributed
  • Progress reports generated
  • Ongoing communication and coordination
  • Academic tracking and support provided between sessions

This work occurs regardless of live session attendance.


8. Missed Sessions, No-Shows, and Late Cancellations

  • Tutor services are built monthly rather than per session. If a student misses a scheduled tutoring time or cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice, that time is considered forfeited and cannot be rescheduled or applied to a future month
  • In limited or special circumstances, Bright Math Tutoring may choose to offer a makeup opportunity if availability allows. Any such accommodation is not guaranteed, even when 24 hours’ notice is provided. When a makeup opportunity is offered, it may be scheduled in a group-format placement alongside other students who have also missed their regularly scheduled tutoring time.

9. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

All requests must be submitted through our Account Update & Cancellation Request Form.

Requests submitted via email, text, or phone will not be processed.


10. Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed within 7–14 business days to the original payment method or by check, at the discretion of Bright Math Tutoring.

Processing times may vary by payment provider.


11. Policy Enforcement

Bright Math Tutoring reserves the right to deny refunds if:

  • Policy conditions are not met
  • Services have already been rendered
  • Requests are fraudulent or abusive
